SUPPORTING A STORIED LEEDS SPORTING INSTITUTION

Leeds Tykes End-of-Season Awards 2025-2026

THE POWER OF SPORT

At Cubby Studio we appreciate the power of sport. Of community, camaraderie, discipline, friendship, effort, and above all - the power to generate stories.

We were genuinely delighted then (and not just LinkedIn 'delighted'), to support the 2025-2026 End of Season Awards of that storied Leeds sporting institution, Leeds Tykes, this weekend.

Tykes have just had their first season back in National One after promotion last year, and have performed admirably to cement their place again at that level.

TRY OF THE SEASON

Cubby Studio supported the club by being sponsors of the Try of the Season award.

The four best tries from throughout the season were selected and shown on the big screen at the awards ceremony, with all attendees - players, coaches, committee members, sponsors and guests - given a vote.

When all of the votes were counted, the Try of the Season award was deservedly won by Sebi Krippner for his magnificent long-range effort against Clifton.

Sebi was presented with his awards by Cubby Director of Marketing & Business Development, Steven Knowles.

LEEDS SPORTING LEGEND

The event was an opportunity to learn some of the behind-the-scenes stories of the 2025-2026 season, direct from the Tykes players and coaches.

There was also the chance to hear from Tykes President Gary Hetherington - who is of course a Leeds sporting titan in his own right, after turning around the fortunes of Rugby League neighbours the Leeds Rhinos, in his wildly successful 29-year spell as Chief Executive between 1996 and 2025.

Finally, everyone at Cubby Studio would like to wish outgoing Leeds Tykes Commercial Director Warwick Andrews all the best in his new role at York Knights RLFC.
